This is a balayage-only offer. It is not a general hair-colour promotion and does not discount separate highlights, foils, full-head colour, root tint, toner, root melt, haircut, blow-dry, treatment or styling services. Any service added to the qualifying balayage appointment is charged at the normal full price.

What is included in Balayage Frenzy Friday?

The 30% Friday discount applies to one professionally booked balayage colour service. Balayage is a freehand colouring technique used to create a softer, more blended transition through the hair than a traditional uniform colour application. Depending on the consultation, starting colour and desired result, a balayage appointment may be designed to create:

• Blonde balayage with soft, natural-looking lightness and blended placement.
• Brunette balayage using caramel, beige, mocha or warmer dimensional tones.
• Lived-in balayage designed for a softer grow-out and lower-maintenance appearance.
• Dimensional balayage that combines lighter and deeper tones for contrast and movement.
• Face-framing balayage with carefully placed brightness around the front of the hair.
• Subtle sun-kissed balayage for clients wanting a natural and understated result.
• Bold high-contrast balayage where the hair condition and starting colour make the result technically suitable.
• Balayage refresh appointments where new freehand placement is required to revive an existing balayage result.

The exact technique, placement, amount of lightening and finished tone are agreed during the consultation. Results vary according to the natural base, previous colour, porosity, hair condition and the amount of lightness that can be achieved safely in one appointment.

Balayage only — which services are not discounted?

Balayage Frenzy Friday is deliberately exclusive to balayage. The offer does not turn the whole appointment into a discounted colour package. Separate or additional services remain at full price, including:

• Traditional highlights or foil services, including full-head, half-head and T-section highlights booked instead of balayage.
• Full-head colour, root tint and regrowth colour.
• Toners, glosses, root melts or colour-refresh services when charged as separate additions.
• Haircuts, trims, restyles and fringe services.
• Blow-dries, styling and occasion hair.
• Bond-building, conditioning or repair treatments added to the appointment.
• Colour correction, colour removal or other technical work outside the selected balayage service.

Where a stylist recommends an additional service to complete, tone, protect or finish the hair, that service will be explained during the consultation and charged at the normal price. The discount applies only to the qualifying balayage colour service shown on the invoice.

Balayage consultation, skin test and hair assessment

Every balayage appointment begins with a professional assessment of the hair. The stylist will discuss the desired colour, maintenance expectations, previous colour history, home colouring, use of henna or metallic salts, condition of the hair and any previous lightening. Reference images are helpful, but the final plan must be suitable for the client’s actual starting point.

A valid skin test is required before balayage in accordance with Lazarou salon policy and manufacturer guidance, normally at least 48 hours before the colour appointment. A strand test may also be required, particularly where the hair has been previously coloured, lightened, chemically treated or shows signs of weakness.

Balayage cannot always create the full target result in one visit. Dark colour build-up, uneven previous colour, fragile hair or a major transformation may require a staged plan over more than one appointment. The Friday discount does not override professional safety decisions or guarantee a particular level of lift.

Balayage for different hair colours and textures

Balayage placement can be adapted for different lengths, densities, colours and textures. Subject to consultation and stylist expertise, the service may be suitable for:

• Long and medium-length hair, where sweeping placement can create movement through the mid-lengths and ends.
• Short hair and bobs, using more selective placement to suit the haircut and available length.
• Straight hair, where careful blending helps prevent harsh lines.
• Wavy and curly hair, where placement can be designed around the natural curl pattern and visible movement.
• Fine hair, using considered placement to create visual dimension without overwhelming the shape.
• Thick hair, where sectioning and placement are tailored to the density and desired contrast.
• Natural blonde, brunette, red, grey-blended and previously coloured bases, subject to what can be achieved safely.

The stylist will advise whether balayage is the best technique for the desired result. Some inspiration images are better achieved with foils, highlights, global colour or corrective work; those alternatives do not qualify for Balayage Frenzy Friday because the offer is exclusive to balayage.

Balayage maintenance and aftercare

Balayage is often chosen for its blended grow-out, but maintenance still depends on the shade, contrast and condition of the hair. After the appointment, the stylist may recommend:

• Using professional colour-safe shampoo and conditioner.
• Reducing excessive heat and using thermal protection.
• Booking separate toner or gloss appointments when the colour needs refreshing.
• Using conditioning or bond-support treatments where recommended.
• Returning for a balayage refresh when additional freehand lightening or placement is required.

Any future toner, treatment, haircut, blow-dry or maintenance service is charged at its normal price unless it independently qualifies for another active offer.

The offer is available on Fridays only at Lazarou Cardiff City Centre Duke Street Hair Salon and Lazarou Talbot Green Hair Salon. It is not available on another day or at another Lazarou location.

Balayage appointments can require several hours, so availability is limited and advance booking is recommended. Select a stylist with the appropriate colour expertise and arrange the required skin test and consultation before the Friday appointment.
