OUR STORY
Lazarou Hair Group was founded in 1966 with the opening of it’s first salon in Riverside, Cardiff, by older brothers Steve and Jimmy Lazarou. Shortly followed into the business by younger brothers Laz, the late Tass, George, Mario with his wife Harri as well as his sister Androulla with her husband Mario.

Meeting the growing demand for good quality unisex salons, the Lazarou Group began to expand during the 1970’s with the opening of its first city centre salon in Morgan Arcade, Cardiff, shortly followed by the first out-of-Cardiff salon in Caerphilly. Expansion continued in the 80’s and 90’s with the opening of several additional locations throughout Cardiff and its surrounding areas. A generation on, the founding members´ children took over - as next generation of Lazarou´s they manage and take active part in the business: Andrew, Pani, Loula, Christina, Helen & Tino, Flora & Barri, Anna & Adam, Andreas, Stavros, Nick & Alex.

The clientele, our team and a warm, friendly and vibrant atmosphere is the foundation of every Lazarou salon and barber shop. Each individual Lazarou branch is independently organised, tied together by family, friends, colleagues and our deeply-routed values of expertise, high quality work, trust and compassion.

Our cosmopolitan clientele allowed us to build a reputation across the full depth of hairstyling - from Afro & European hairstyles, modern day or traditional hairstyles. Together with our talented and skilled staff, we ensures that our customers are happy and confident with the results.

We are active members of the communities we are part of.
We work hard to be an active and valued member of our local communities. Since 1985 we have been the main sponsor of the Lazarou Sunday Football League. We also host and attend many fund-raising events, such as our annual Barberthon - for 24 hours we deliver free haircuts and hot towel shaves for charity. Back for its third year, we supported Dreams & Wishes, the charity organisation supports seriously-ill children by fulfilling them their dream, creating happy moments and valuable memories.
